I have been hooked on a site called Free Rice, which is a non-profit website, run by the United Nations World Food Program, with an interactive vocabulary game.
You must be thinking what’s so interesting about this site. Well, for each answer you get right, they donate 10 grains of rice to help end hunger. And, this is made possible by the generosity of the sponsors who advertise on this site.
According to the site, Free Rice has two goals:
- Provide education for everyone for free.
- Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.
You can even select various subjects on which you want to play. Subjects range from Arts, Chemistry, Geography, Maths to languages – English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
Before you know it you will be playing the game and will have donated 1000’s of grains of rice.
